theoretical background of creating a food object-experience out of multi-disciplinary and multi-sensory possibilities
This master thesis investigates taste as an artistic medium and sensory system, focusing on how food and the manipulation of taste can function as performative and epistemic tools. Drawing on philosophy, sensory science, and performance studies, it develops Matters of the Tongue (2016), a participatory food-based work that explores taste, texture, and perception as processes of internalizing and transforming knowledge. The research frames eating as a multisensory encounter in which meaning emerges through bodily experience rather than representatio
